Introduction

Anamika Choudhary

B.Tech in Materials Science, IIT Jodhpur

I am a recent graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, with a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience in machine learning and data analytics. I am actively seeking opportunities where I can apply my analytical skills, programming expertise, and passion for data-driven problem-solving to contribute meaningfully to innovative projects and business insights.

Academic Life

My academic journey has been marked by a strong focus on data science, machine learning, and financial analytics, equipping me with the skills necessary to tackle complex problems in these domains. I have consistently maintained a solid academic record, achieving a CGPA of 6.86 during my undergraduate studies.

Quantum ESPRESSO Computational First-principles Calculation Project

During the summer, I worked on a comprehensive project using Quantum ESPRESSO and VESTA for first-principles simulations. I constructed crystal structures, created alloys and supercells, and calculated properties like bulk modulus, band structure, and density of states for materials such as Silicon and Nickel.

Beyond Work

Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I have actively engaged in extracurricular activities that highlight my leadership, teamwork, creative abilities and personal growth.

Mentor and Core Team Member, The Groove Theory (TGT), Dance Society, IIT Jodhpur

Being part of The Groove Theory, IIT Jodhpur’s official dance society, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college life. As a mentor and core team member, I’ve had the chance to choreograph performances, lead workshops for new members, and help fellow dancers grow in confidence and skill. Our practices are always filled with energy, creativity, and a strong sense of teamwork.

Together, we’ve celebrated some amazing achievements—like winning 8th position at the Inter-IIT Cultural Meet 5.0 and 6th position at the Inter-IIT Cultural Meet 6.0. YouTube Inter IIT 5.0 | Inter IIT 6.0

These results came from countless hours of planning, rehearsing, and supporting each other. We’ve also performed at major campus events such as Spectrum, Ignus, and Aura, which have helped us build a close-knit and enthusiastic dance community. One of my proudest moments was when our team was selected for the Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship (HHI) during the Ignus festival organized by IIT Jodhpur.

My journey with TGT has not only improved my dancing but also taught me valuable lessons in leadership, collaboration, and the importance of perseverance. I’ve learned how to work effectively in a team, manage time during busy schedules, and express myself creatively through dance.

Assistant Head and Coordinator, Udbhaas-2022 Exhibition, IIT Jodhpur (November 2022)

The event Udbhaas - Jal Aur Jeevan organised by JCKIF. As the Assistant Head and Coordinator for Udbhaas 2022, I helped organize one of IIT Jodhpur’s biggest art exhibitions. My job was to give suggestions, organize things and make sure everything ran smoothly. I worked with a great team to solve problems, manage resources, and keep everyone informed.

The exhibition was a big success and drew a lot of attention from both the campus and the wider community. We were honored when the Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised our efforts and the impact of the event. This recognition meant a lot to us and showed how well our team worked together.

Volunteer and Assistant Head in various fests and events

I have taken on the role of Assistant Head in the Youth Conclave Fest at IIT Jodhpur, where I helped plan and organize various activities. I have also volunteered in several other campus events, including Aftaab (the annual cultural fest), Varchas (the sports fest), and celebrations like Garba Night. In these roles, I organized the event and assigned specific tasks to team members based on their strengths and interests, ensuring that responsibilities such as logistics, publicity, and coordination were managed efficiently. I also gave suggestions to improve the workflow and fostered a collaborative environment, which contributed to the overall success of the events.

Being involved in these events allowed me to meet and work with people from different backgrounds, improve my communication and teamwork skills, and understand the importance of collaboration. These experiences have inspired me to keep contributing to campus life and to support activities that bring people together and create a positive environment.
